One word topic essay - Money

Many people say that money makes the world go round. Without money, its rather impossible to survive as almost everything needs money. However, there are some things which money cannot buy.

For example, money cannot buy friendship. Some people tend to use money to make friends. They think that the more money they had, the more friends they had. Therefore, they do stuff like treating their friends very often, thinking that their friends are true to them. However, friends who stick to you for those causes aren't true friends at all. True friends are people who will help you whenever you're in need and never leave you in the lurch. Those people will soon realise that when they have a problem, those friends will just stay away from them.

Money cannot buy the love between family members too. There are many rich families in Singapore which many people look up to but they do not see the problems those families face. A common situtation that those familes face is not having a bond within their family members. The parents will go to work early in the morning and come back late at night. Thus, not spending much time with their children. Some parents think that as long as they provide their children with whatever they need, they're doing their part as parents but in fact, they are far from that. What most children need is love and concern from their parents. If their parents are out the whole day, they will usually tend to feel neglected. Therefore, being in this situation is not really something that people should look up to either.

Another thing that money cannot buy is happiness. True enough that you can buy whatever you want with money. However, having the latest electronic device or buying branded materials are not something that will give you true happiness. Therefore, money cannot buy true happiness either.

In conclusion, money might not be the thing that makes the world goes round.
